Accommodations
There are national and international hotels in Cali ranging from 3 to 5 stars as well as hotels specializing in environmental and eco-tourism, particularly around Lake Calima.
Airports
Palmaseca International Airport is a 40-minute flight from Bogotá and offers several daily flights to the nation’s capital as well as direct flights to Miami and to Europe, through Bogotá.
Roads
The region has a highway system connecting Cali with Medellín, Bogotá and other cities. Smaller towns and villages are linked by country roads.

Taxis, rent-a-car and others
Taxis in Cali can be rented by the hour, the day or for the amount of time necessary, and national and international rent-a-car agencies also operate. Buses can be used to reach small villages and trucks can be rented to carry equipment.
Telecommunications
Communications and telecommunications services are available throughout the region. Major cities have broadband and Wi-Fi connections. Dial-up service is available in smaller cities and towns. Cali has audiovisual production services for television and advertising spots.

Health
Private hospitals and clinics are located in larger cities and offer excellent service; municipal and departmental hospitals and clinics offer good general and emergency care. There are medical centers in smaller villages.
Production infrastructure
Cali’s regional channel, Telepacífico, covers the Valle del Cauca, Nariño, Cauca and Choco departments. A university channel also operates out of the Universidad del Valle. Cali enjoys good film, television and advertising production infrastructure, but there are no equipment rental companies serving large-scale productions.
