Members of the international audiovisual sector shared with us their experiences in Colombian locations, the advantages of working with a local teams and how they benefited from the economic incentives granted by the Government through Proimágenes Colombia.

What are the film commissions and three Reasons to Shoot in Colombia? 

Film commissions are organizations that attract audiovisual teams to produce their works in the countries or cities they represent. Its function is to provide support to audiovisual professionals regarding the methodologies and benefits of carrying out their projects in the different locations. For this purpose, they have the support of national or local governments.

In Colombia there are local Film Commissions in Bogota and Medellin, and also the Colombian Film Commission that works at the national level.

What is the role of the Colombian Film Commission?

Film commissions are organizations that attract audiovisual teams to produce their works in the countries or cities they represent. Its function is to provide support to audiovisual professionals regarding the methodologies and benefits of carrying out their projects in the different locations. For this purpose, they have the support of national or local governments.

COLOMBIAN FILM FUND - FFC

A reimbursement of 40% of the expenses in audiovisual services and 20% of the expenses of logistics services provided by Colombian companies or natural persons of Colombian nationality and domiciled in the country.

TAX CERTIFICATE - CINA

A tax discount certificate for 35% of the expenses in audiovisual and logistics services provided by Colombian companies or natural persons of Colombian nationality and domiciled in the country.
