El Resurgimiento Park is a public space in which green areas are the protagonists and where cultural activities such as the ‘El Cimarrón de oro’ International Festival are carried out. In this place, La Última Lágrima airport operated in 1938 and 1939, the name was due to the sadness caused by farewells between travelers and their loved ones. It is the largest park in Yopal. A sculpture in tribute to the troops commanded by Colonel Ramón Nonato Pérez commemorates the efforts of the llaneros who participated in the independence struggles. The bronze work, approximately 6 m high, is located on the side of the park, on 16th Street. This attraction also has sports spaces, a bike path, planters and nature trails.
