It is a colonial hacienda formerly known as the Casa Grande. The construction of the mansion dates back to the 18th century and is a legacy of the period when the hacienda was the most important economic activity in the department.
It is of great historical importance for the region, since it was here that the cry for independence of Cali was organized on July 3, 1810, 17 days before the episode of the Llorente vase.
