The place is an astronomical observatory built with phallic-shaped clay totems, forming a ring around a central totem. The eleven larger totems mark the sunrise during solstices and equinoxes, while the smaller totems are used for measuring the movements of the moon. The totems are adorned with pre-Hispanic iconography from cultures like Tolima, Sinú, Muisca, Maya, Inca, Nazca, among others.
