Belén and Santa Bárbara are commercial sectors of great economic and social significance. Urban development has transformed them into dynamic areas, to the point of being considered an extension of the Ibagué downtown. This evolution has occurred in parallel with the transformations of the Musical, making them neighborhoods with significant historical reference, and they have witnessed the most important events of the city over the course of a century.
