It is a neoclassical building, designed and built by Pietro Colombo Monticoni, and which was financed with a loan from the Mutual Insurance Bank, under the direction of the engineer who won the project and the teacher Andrés Gallardo.
After a century of existence, the Club del Comercio building is today an icon of Bucaramanga, the pride of its inhabitants, recently declared by the Colombian Ministry of Culture as a ‘Real Estate of National Cultural Interest’.
