The Morro del Tulcán or Pirámide de Tulcán is the main archaeological site of Popayán. This consists of a small unnatural hill in the shape of a truncated pyramid, in which elements from the pre-Columbian era were found, approximately between the years 500 – 1600 BC. C.
This monument was dated approximately between the year 800 AD and the 13th century AD.
