Based on Humberto G Garcia's critically acclaimed book, "Mustang Miracle", in 1955, five young Mexican-American caddies, driven by their love for the game, were determined to learn to play golf. They created their own golf course in the middle of the South Texas desert. Despite having outdated and inferior equipment and lacking professional instruction, with the support of a man who believed in them and a golf instructor, they would go on to compete against wealthy, exclusively white teams, winning the Texas State High School Golf Championship in 1957.
