Franco loses his girlfriend, Julia, a promising young journalist, in a car accident in downtown Bogotá. Days after his death and almost to the point of suicide, Franco discovers that Julia was investigating the strange case of an old man who has a fantastic gift: he can make a person return to live a memory with a deceased loved one to say goodbye.
These states are called the "dead time". After many inquiries, Franco discovers that the dead times are not a myth and finds the mysterious old man; then he decides to travel through time through a memory to save Julia. But Franco will realize that Julia misused one of those "dead times," and changed, unintentionally, the course of her own life.
